Steps to Stream YouTube Kids on Roku
YouTube Kids is a kid-friendly entertainment app that streams videos on TV shows, music, and learning. Although YouTube Kids doesn’t have a standalone app for Roku, you can still stream its content by creating a kid’s profile in the YouTube app. The YouTube app comes pre-installed on most Roku devices. If not, you can add the app using the following instructions.
- Set up an Internet Connection on Roku
As a prerequisite, you must connect your Roku to WiFi. Optionally, set up a wired internet connection if a WiFi router is placed a little away from your Roku TV.
- Search YouTube on Roku
Go to the home page by pressing the Home key on the remote. Once the Roku home page appears, tap the Search option. If you can’t find this option, click Streaming Channels and tap Search Channels.
- Search for the App
Using the on-screen keypad, search for YouTube and highlight the app. Then, click the OK button on the remote.
- Install YouTube on Roku
From the app description, tap the Add Channel button to get the app on your device. Confirm the action by selecting the OK option from the prompt.
- Sign In to your Google Account
Once installed, go back to the home page and launch the YouTube app. Then, sign in to your YouTube account by entering your username and password.
