Resetting the Roku device is essential if you are planning to sell it or if you have problems using a remote or accessing Roku channels. A factory reset will remove the device’s data, unlink it from the Roku account, and restore it to defaults. After the resetting process, you need to set up your Roku device from scratch.
- Select Settings
From the Roku home screen, scroll down and navigate to the Settings option. Then, select the OK button to select it.
- Choose the option System
After that, you will see several options on the right side. Locate and select the option System.
- Tap Advanced System Settings
Under System settings, look for the Advanced System Settings option and tap it.
- Click Factory Reset
On the next screen, navigate to the side menu and scroll down to the option Factory Reset. Then, click the OK button to select it.
- Type the Factory Reset PIN.
Finally, you need to enter the factory reset PIN. Use the on-screen keyboard to type the Reset PIN and click OK to initiate the reset process. Once completed, it will restart your Roku device.
