Steps to Change Language on Roku
If you turn on your Roku device for the first time, you have to select the language to use during the setup. But later, if you wish to choose a different language, there is a way. Changing the language will be reflected in the appearance of text on the Roku’s interface. So, you will see the buttons, menus, titles, notifications, and error messages in the chosen language.
- Go to Settings
After turning on your Roku device, you will be landed on the Home page of it. Then press the down navigational button and move your cursor to highlight the Settings menu. Then, tap the right navigational button to launch it.
- Click the System option
Then, click the directional button on the remote and highlight the System option. Press the OK key to open the System settings page.
- Select Language
On the System settings page, click the directional arrow key and highlight the Language tile. Once done, press the OK key to open the Langauge settings.
- Choose the preferred Language
As a final step, your device will display the list of available languages. You can choose your preferred language, and it will be updated immediately.
How Can You Change the Language on Roku Channels Like Netflix?
Open the Netflix channel on Roku and go to the Profile page. Choose the profile and select the Edit option. Following that, click the Language option and select the language of your choice. After that, click Done to save changes.
Will Changing the Roku System Language Also Change the Language for Audio and Captions?
Yes. If you change the device’s language, it will also change the language for audio and captions as long as you have never modified those settings.
