This article explains the steps to live stream the latest Toronto news on Roku using the CP24 app.
Steps to Screen Mirror CP24 on Roku
CP24 hasn’t released an app for Roku in the Channel Store. However, you can still watch the CP24 live news and real-time updates on weather and traffic on Roku by screen mirroring it. Get the CP24 app on your Android or iPhone and play any video you want to watch on a big screen. Then, by clicking the Cast or Screen Mirroring icon on your phone, you can pair your Roku TV with it and begin wireless streaming.
- Enable Screen Mirroring or AirPlay on Roku
If you are an Android user, enable screen mirroring on Roku to cast the device screen. For iPhone, enable the AirPlay option on your Roku TV. To do so, go to Settings → Apple AirPlay and HomeKit → AirPlay ON.
- Install CP24 on Android or iPhone
Grab your phone and install the CP24 app from the Play Store or App Store.
- Open CP24 on your phone and play live news
Once you launch the CP24 app, tap Allow to accept the necessary app permissions. You can see sections like Happening Now, News, Videos, and Live. Go to the Live tab and tap CP24 LIVE to stream live news.
- Click the Cast or AirPlay icon
If a video starts to play, go to your Android’s Notification Panel and click the Cast icon. If you are an iPhone user, pull down the Control Center and select the Screen Mirroring icon.
